Virtual Cancer Centre Scholarship
Virtual Cancer Centre is pleased to provide funds which enable two fifth year medical students at the University of Western Australia to attend the University of Lund in Sweden to undertake a four-week attachment in cancer medicine.
The purpose of the Virtual Cancer Centre Scholarship is to foster clinical and cultural exchanges and to help develop Australia’s future doctors. The Scholarship provides airfare and accommodation for the two winning students! The first winners of the first Virtual Cancer Centre Scholarships are Hayden Wilson and Naomi Fudge. As part of the exchange agreement between the two universities, two students from the University of Lund in Sweden will be attending the University of Western Australia for a few weeks. The official launch of the Virtual Cancer Centre Scholarship will take place in May in the few days cross over before Hayden and Naomi leave for Sweden and while the two Swedish students are in Perth. The event will take place at the University of Western Australia with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry expected to open the proceedings.
