Brain tumours are the most common life threatening tumours in kids. Unfortunately the incidence is not only high; it seems to be increasing every year. Even though neurosurgery is giving many children a better chance, still more can be done for them.

The Cure for Life Foundation provides ongoing support for vital research into the treatment of both malignant and slow growing brain tumours. This includes searching for better surgical, chemotherapeutic and radiotherapeutic options.One of the initial and urgent goals of the Cure for Life Foundation is to purchase the most recent technology for treatment of both adult and children with brain tumours such as the Photon Radiosurgery System (PRS) or the Cyberknife. These devices can deliver life-saving radiotherapy to children who would otherwise be too young to receive it by conventional methods. The foundation was established by Dr Charles Teo to help fund advancements in the treatment of brain cancer, hopefully one day leading to a cure.
