Concurrent gemcitabine and radiotherapy in locally advanced non-cell lung cancer
The point was made that 40% of patients with NSCLC (Non-small cell lung cancer) have nonresectable disease at the time of diagnosis which is still potentially curable. Up until recent times radiation therapy alone has been the main method of treatment and on its own, it has fairly poor median and long term survival rates.
