Male urogenital system
The male urogenital system consists of all the organs involved in reproduction and the formation and release of urine. It includes the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, ejaculatory ducts, urethra, penis, prostate and accessory glands. |
For more information, see Male Urogenital System.
Making a decision on circumcision
Although circumcision has been performed for cultural and religious reasons for thousands of years, most professional medical associations oppose routine neonatal circumcision and recommend the procedure only in cases where there are clearly defined medical reasons. |
For more information, see Making a Decision on Circumcision.
The circumcision procedure
Male circumcision is a surgical procedure which involves the removal of the foreskin (also known as the prepuce) of the penis. The foreskin is a shaft of skin which covers the head of the penis (glans penis). |
For more information, see The Circumcision Procedure.
