Product Name: Nasex Nasal Decongestant

Indication

Temporary relief of nasal congestion caused by colds, flu or hayfever.

Action

Nasex relieves congestion by causing the constriction of blood vessels in the soft tissues inside the nose.

Dose advice

  • Adults and children over 6 years: 1-2 sprays in each nostril – may be repeated up to 2-3 times a day (each dose lasts ~ 6 hours)
  • if symptoms persist longer than 5 days seek medical advice- not intended for prolonged usage.

Common side effects

Serious reactions to Nasex are rare.

Commonly experienced side effects include:

  • Sneezing;
  • Temporary stinging/burning sensation in nose;
  • Development of rebound congestion (over 5 days of continuous use).

Uncommon side effects

Less common side effects include:


  • Nausea;
  • Anxiety;
  • Headache;
  • Dizziness;
  • Insomnia;
  • Hypertension.
