-Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
It is also used in the treatment of
-Certain types of abnormal vaginal
Action of Naprogesic
Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). NSAIDs relieve pain and inflammation by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which have an important involvement in the production of inflammation, pain and fever in the body
Dose advice of Naprogesic
The usual dose is 250â500 mg given twice daily.
The maximum recommended daily dose is 1250 mg.
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
10â15 mg/kg daily in 2 divided doses.
The initial recommended dose is 500 mg
This is followed by 250 mg every 6â8 hours as required.
The initial recommended dose is 750 mg initially
This is followed an additional 250â500 mg after a time period of at least 1 hour if required.
