Fears continue to grow across the Asiatic after the death of another person in Vietnam. Vietnamese health officials have confirmed that a 13 year old boy died in Ho Chi Minh city four days after being admitted to hostpital. It is the first confirmed death in the country’s south, prompting renewed concern by the World Health Organisation about further human infection. Despite the mass culling of chickens within 6 nations in Asia, the flu is still spreading and the fear is that this strain of the Avian flu is potentially more deadly and more likely to lead to a worldwide pandemic than SARS. Thailand’s Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has ordered a cull of the entire poultry flock in the worst affected province by the end of the day. His government is facing criticism that it was too slow to go public on the outbreak. After weeks of denials, the Thai government announced on Friday that two boys had contracted the deadly virus. A 56-year-old man being tested for bird flu died in hospital on Friday
