Ivax Says Gets FDA Nod for Ozone-Friendly Inhaler

Generic drugmaker Ivax Corp. said Monday it received U.S. regulatory approval for a more ozone-friendly inhaler for the treatment of asthma.

Ivax said the product hydrofluoroalkanes as a propellant, replacing chlorofluorocarbons, which hurt the ozone layer. (Source: Reuters, Nov 2004)
