EU, Mexico suspend imports of US poultry
The European Union (EU) and Mexico have suspended imports of poultry from the United States after an outbreak of highly-contagious bird flu in Texas.
The European Union (EU) and Mexico have suspended imports of poultry from the United States after an outbreak of highly-contagious bird flu in Texas.The EU ban also extends to eggs.However, in an apparently unrelated move, the US has decided to suspend imports of meat products from France.An official French government announcement said a team from the US agriculture ministry had been to France and visited 11 companies allowed to export to the US.
