Indication

Vincristine is used in the treatment of a wide variety of haematological malignancies and solid tumours.

Action

Vincristine acts by preventing cancer cells from replicating.

Dose advice

Specialist protocols should be consulted with regards to dosage.

Individual doses should be limited to a maximum of 2 mg.

Cumulative doses should not exceed 20 mg. Elderly patients may have increased susceptibility to toxicity from Vincristine. Liver function impairment: Patients with liver function impairment may require dose reduction. Vincristine should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
