Generic Name: Dextromethorphan hydrobromide; Paracetamol; Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride
Product Name: Dimetapp Cold & Flu Liquid Capsules

Indication

Dimetapp Cold & Flu Liquid Capsules relieve the symptoms experienced when suffering from a common cold. These symptoms include muscle pain, headache, and sinus pain. Dimetapp Cold & Flu Liquid Caps also help to dry up and unblock the nose and sinuses as well as stopping the dry, irritating cough associated with cold and flu.

Action

Dimetapp Cold & Flu Liquid Caps contain three different active ingredients which work together to help give symptomatic relief from the common cold. The ingredients work as follows:

  • Dextromethorphan works as a cough suppressant helping to alleviate a dry cough.
  • Pseudoephedrine is known as a decongestant which helps to unblock the nose or sinuses and has a drying effect also. It works to reduce the size of the blood vessels in your nose. This helps to decrease the swelling of the lining of your nose and reduce the production of mucous. This effectively reduces the congestion you feel.
  • Paracetamol has pain relieving properties which help to relieve the different types of aches and pains associated with the common cold. Paracetamol can also bring down temperature in people who have a fever.
